NHS annually hosts large scale volunteer projects as part of the NeighborWorks America network. NeighborWorks Week is one of the biggest volunteer events in Provo City, next to Pride In Provo. It is typically held during the first week in June every year. House painting, yard clean up, planting, and home repairs are performed by over 400 volunteers during this event. Work is performed where homeowners are qualified recipients. A qualified recipient must be mentally, physically, or financially challenged. If you know someone within our neighborhood boundaries that could benefit from our assistance, please contact one of our staff with their information. NeighborWorks Week 2008SATURDAY JUNE 7TH - MEET AT FARRER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (100 N 600 E) @ 8 AM SATURDAY JUNE 14TH- MEET AT FRANKLIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (350 S 600 W) @ 8 AM A Special Thank You!!NHS would like to extend a special "Thank You" to a wonderful group of volunteers from the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. The eight member team stayed with us from April to June and managed all the behind the scenes preparations for Pride In Provo and NeighborWorks Week 2005. Without this energetic and fun loving team our project would not have been so successful. We can't say enough good about this team, and how much we appreciate all they did for us!
